Cornbread

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp. canna butter plus more for greasing dish (unsalted butter)
  • 1.5 cups butter milk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp. cane sugar
  • 1.5 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. table salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • Directions:

    Preheat the oven for 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Secondly, lightly butter or grease an 8 x 8 baking dish. Get out a large mixing bowl and combine all dry ingredients and mix together. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, buttermilk and melted canna butter. Combine the dry and wet ingredients until just barely combined and still slightly lumpy. Do not mix until thoroughly mixed. Pour into the greased baking pan and bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
